  3. Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada - A book on the German perspective of the Holocaust and Nazi Occupation. What we should learn about avoiding a fascist take over.
  4. The Complete MAUS by Art Spiegelman - An interesting graphic novel on Nazi Germany. Highly recommended.
  5. The Book Thief by Mark Zusak - An interesting book. I read it when I was gifted this by my girlfriend in college. She didn't know much about the book, but her friend suggested it since I loved books. An interesting read!
  6. Man's Search For Meaning: The classic tribute to hope from the Holocaust by Viktor E Frankl- Another poignant holocaust literature. Highly recommended.

  8. Logicomix: An Epic Search for Truth by Apostolos Doxiadia - A graphic novel that talks about philosophy, though it is also a biography of Bretrand Russell. A beautiful work or art - highly recommended.
  9. Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi - So close to my heart! The book is about growing up as a woman in the post revolutionary Iran. Must Read!
  10. Munnu: A Boy from Kashmir by Malik Sajad - A graphic novel set in Kashmir. I am yet to read the book.
  11. All the Light we Cannot See by Anthony Doerr - A beautiful love story between a French woman and a German Soldier set in the World War II era.

  14. TIPPU SULTHAN by PK Balakrishnan This book and others by PK Balakrishnan was suggested as good reads in Malayalam history writing.
  15. INI NJAN URANGATTE by PK Balakrishnan - a fresh take on mythology. Beautiful read!
  16. Narayanaguru by PK Balakrishnan Throws light into the life of Narayanaguru, who was an authentic philosopher as well as a prolific writer. This was outside his great work as a social reformer. Highly recommended!

  22. The Master Switch: The Rise and Fall of Information Empires by Tim WuI read this book in the last year of my college. It traces the rise and fall of technologies like Wireless, Telephone and internet and the giant companies that grew and fell with them. Wonderful book, highly recommended!

  34. The Bad Girl by Mario Vargas Llosa - I read it by taking a copy from the State Central Library, Thiruvananthapuram. Beautiful book that talks about a poignant love story. Highly recommended for those who wants to start with Llosa. With a lot of magical realism spattered into it, it is a wonderful window into latin american literature. Could read Bolano after Llosa.
